I started working with Yael only a few weeks before the Wharton application deadline. I had already hired a different admissions consultant and was disappointed by the service. A friend put me in touch with Yael, and after our first session, I decided to work with her exclusively, despite already having paid thousands of dollars to my other consultant for a full admissions package.
Why was Yael so much better? Here are my thoughts:
- Live essay review. Using Google Docs to read and edit essays together and in real time was the perfect way to get my essays in shape in a hurry. This was crucial for me, as I was working on my application very close to the deadline. The live review sessions also resulted in more productive brainstorming.
- No nonsense feedback. Yael is very friendly and easy to get along with, but she also doesn't hesitate to voice her opinion. If she thought that something I had written didn't sound good, she let me know it. That sort of constructive criticism resulted in much more authentic and insightful essays.
- She cares. Of course, all MBA consultants want their clients to get accepted. However, I felt that Yael wanted me to get in because going to Wharton was my dream, not just because it would help her track record. She supported and encouraged me like a friend or family member would.
Thanks Yael!
